“Your students will sell you on using these units in your classroom, because they not only learn from it, they take an ownership from those skills. And I've had several of my students tell me, 'Mrs. Detloff, I knew how to read and write, and I knew what I wanted to say. I never knew how to get it out on paper. I never knew how to think to get my thoughts out on paper'. These modules empower the students in a way I've never seen any other curriculum empower any student population, whether it's general level, or college prep, or even the honors. I've tried them with all of them, but they are designed for the 12 CP (college prep) level students, and if you try them I think you'll be amazed at what your students can do at the end of each unit.”
